State trooper saves man having a stroke

Michigan State Trooper saves the life of a man who was ahving a stroke while driving on the highway

WEXSFORD COUNTY, MI – A Michigan State Trooper is being credited with saving the life of a man who had a stroke while he was driving on the US 131 Freeway.

Trooper Tyler Baker responded to a call of a vehicle being driven on four flat tires. Trooper Baker saw the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. When the vehicle would not stop, Trooper Baker noticed the driver was suffering a medical emergency.

Trooper Baker was able to use his patrol car to stop the vehicle and made contact with the 84-year-old man who was suffering a stroke.

Trooper Baker provided medical assistance until EMS responded to transport the man to the hospital.

It was later determined that the man had driven over 100 miles on the flat tires and that his breaks were completely inoperable.

Thanks to the quick actions of Trooper Baker, a serious catastrophe was averted.
