Peoria Police Officers Dies From Injuries Received In A Motorcycle Accident

Peoria, AZ – Police Officer Jason Judd from the Peoria Police Department in Arizona died on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from injuries he received from a motorcycle accident.

According to ABC 15 Officer Judd had just completed a demonstration to children at Liberty High School. Officer Judd was leaving the school and at some point the motorcycle came out from under him. Officer Judd was thrown off the motorcycle and received significant injuries. Officer Judd was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

Peoria Police Chief Art Miller told AZ Central that, “I believe that all of our personnel at Peoria Police Department are our finest. Jason was one of our finest of finest.”

Officer Judd had been a member of the traffic unit for 17 years. He was also the police motor instructor and was an exceptional motorcycle rider. 

“Officer Judd was a husband, a father, a friend, and just a great cop. He was an Air Force veteran and loved to serve the people of Peoria.”

ODMP posted that Officer Judd was a U.S. Air Force veteran and had served with the Peoria Police Department for 21 years. Officer Judd is survived by his wife and two sons.
